Great Friends are Hard to Find

You're incredible... I'm not sure if you realize how loved you are and how many lives you've touched, but you have such great friends that appreciate you, and value your friendship... we also miss you like crazy.

I wanted to find some way to show you how much your friends value you so I asked them to come up with a memory, or something special that reminds them of you. And you know how they say your friends are a reflection of who you are? Well you have amazing friends that pulled though and made it possible, I couldn't have done it without their participation :)

So I actually started this in January, it was intended for a Valentine's Day present, then I was told you were coming for Valentine's Day! (BTW I was happy/confused, wasn't sure why/how you could keep this from me, then I thought maybe it was meant to be a surprise lol) turns out you switched the dates. So I was going to keep it til you came since I missed that deadline, but as I've been scouring photobooks online, none of them really had what I wanted, I decided to make it into a blog (I thought I was brilliant btw), because then, you could view it anytime you missed us, any where you are!

I'll Start:

I am sure before you read this you already know which memory I'm going to pick! I actually had been thinking of gifts for you and I almost went with a charm bracelet with a single charm of blue jeans, I knew you would get it right away! I like to say it started with that morning, I am not sure which of us had the crazy idea to do TWO, hour long fitness classes back to back and call it fun bonding time, thinking of it now just makes me want a nap... we parted our separate ways to meet later that night to go out. Well I know I thought we were going to dinner, but we all ran late and we were worried we were going to miss happy hour... we were a hot mess! Lots of drinks... sexy marines (I hope David doesn't read this, if you are it was before you babe!), and ended with getting guided back to your room, due to working out and mass consumption of alcohol at 10:30pm by Becca and her brother (makes me sad thinking of Becca :( ). Oh!! Lets not forget we knew one another for about week! So, when I woke up the next morning I had no pants on... I took them off in the middle of the night cause it's so not comfortable sleeping in jeans... well we woke up, and I remember thinking you were going to think I was some weird freak for having no pants on... we were talking, I was a little nervous.... hoping maybe you would go to the bathroom so I could slip my pants back on... then you said it first something along the lines of "uh I have no pants on", I remember exactly what I said... "oh thank God me either!" Then more talking on what we should do for breakfast (I WAS STARVING) then when we decided we would go out and said in unison "but we have to put pants on"...

It may not sound like a "best memory" or any sort of life altering event to most people but, it broke the ice, we were forever friends, pant-less friends...now that I'm writing this I am thinking of how silly I am we are, but that's just us, and I wouldn't have it any other way, I hope we remain this silly/awesome forever. There are way too many things and memories I have of you, like scrabble nights, hiking, music, not even talking and just reading together, Christmas, birthdays, game nights...  I love you.  We call one another our "heterolife mates" for a reason, we just fit together, I couldn't imagine life without you.  You're one of those rare friends you can tell everything to, or nothing to, but sitting with them makes you feel better when you're down... time can pass and it could feel like ages, but when we see one another again it's like no time has passed and it was just yesterday we were playing marathon scrabble...  I'm not sure how I lived all those years of life before finding our friendship, but my life has been happier ever since I did... it's not very often people have a friendship like ours. I hope you know how much you (our friendship) means to me.

Katie:

Tegan was the first person that I ever met here in the States. Herself and her Family were literally at the Airport when we arrived in the States.
She also got me my first job at AMC, where we had so much fun and met many great people. I would have not met Adam if Tegan had not gotten me involved
with the Movie Theaters. For that, I will always be grateful :)

I have so many great memories spanning over a decade. Our canal walks, the yearly trip to the Melting Pot and "Cranium!"
To narrow it down to one specific memory, it would have to be our "Snow Trips". Even if no one else went, Teg and myself went every year. We started off small within
the State to find snow, which eventually turned into heading as far North as Colorado. Ohhh how I miss her and those trips!
I cannot wait for her to meet James. She knows how much I wanted to be a Mommy.

I am blessed for meeting such an inspiring Lady that is Tegan. Her Family has always made me feel like one of their own, and no one understands a "Crazy
Brit" like a "Crazy Auzzie!"

Rashelle:

Tegan,
Your friendship has been one of the greatest reasons why I can never regret the way things are today. Otherwise, I would never have met someone who appreciates vegging in front the the TV, drinking wine, doing jigsaw puzzles and watching the big bang theory. Good times! Some of my favorite memories involve you. Like when we convinced Lucas that he didn't need a glass to make a snakebite. And with the wedding I loved how nervous you were about having the responsibility of being my maid of honor, but I know I could never have picked a better person for the job! And then... there was Vegas! I don't think there was one minute where we all weren't laughing... or freezing! I'm sure there's more adventures to come and I can't wait! You're good people, Tegan, what can I say?
How about, "Hey, you know Blade Runner? ... It's like that." LOL

Ryan:

Tegan!!!!!! I missss you!!!! I can't wait til you come out here in April to visit! I'm really looking forward to it. I really hope you're enjoying Australia and everything is going well for you. Just don't forget about all of us over here in the states. We all miss you very much!
Love
Ryan
